Hello and a very special thank you for taking time to visit Simply RV Life. Our family loves to camp and enjoy spending time with each other. We’re Jason, Amy and Haley and we reside in the Hoosier State. I met Amy in November 1997 and we have been together ever since. Our first date was on November 8th as we went to Red Lobster and to a shopping mall. Amy was shy back in the day, but she has really come out of her shell and I’m happy to say that we have now been happily married since March 17th, 2001.
In 2004, we started a process to adopt a child and grow our family. On December 11th 2004, Amy and I hopped on a plane and flew to Krasnoyarsk, Russia to meet a child who was looking for a family to call her own. We met a then 5-year-old girl named Gulia (nickname from Gulnara) and from the moment our eyes saw each other, it was a family made in heaven. We spent a few hours together over a 2-day period and we knew Gulia was the perfect child for us. Following our time in Russia, we headed back to the United States to finish our paperwork and overall adoption process. We flew back to Krasnoyarsk, Russia in March 2005 to complete our adoption and bring Gulia home. Gulia officially joined our family on March 23rd, 2005 and we celebrate “Gotcha Day” every year. We wanted to keep her Russian heritage so we still also celebrate the Russian Christmas. Gulia is now her middle name and we renamed her Haley. Fast forward to now and Haley is a college graduate and doing well. Amy and I are very proud of her.
As we said earlier, we love to camp and as a child, I went tent camping a lot with my family. I also spent a lot of time at the fishing hole trying to catch food for that nights dinner. Amy and Haley had their first camping experience in 2016 when a local RV Dealership invited our family to spend the weekend with them at Harmonie State Park. This event is held annually for customers who have made purchases from this RV Dealership in the past. Our invitation came about by the relationship I have with them as the company I work for provides them with a large portion of their parts store accessories. In 2018, we purchased our 2019 Keystone Springdale 311re.
I have been involved in the RV industry for many years and have built strong relationships with RV Dealers, Vendors, Manufacturers and rep agencies. My love for this industry and the RV Lifestyle is second to none. That passion also has been passed on to Amy and Haley and we look forward to sharing our experiences with you. From spending time around the campfire to fishing for our next meal, we wouldn’t want it any other way.
Our mission with Simply RV Life is to share our love for the RV Lifestyle while helping our fellow campers with instructional videos, parts and accessory reviews, campfire recipes and good old fashion fun. The opinions that we give on this website, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter are simply that, opinions. As previously noted, we are simply looking to help other camping families and share our love for the camping lifestyle.
